UC Santa Cruz Storm Water Management PlanDevelopment of a Storm Water Management Plan (SWMP) is required by EPA and State regulations. UCSC has prepared a SWMP to comply with the regulations and manage campus storm water quality. Status of the UCSC Storm Water Management PlanOn April 3, 2009 the Central Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board (Regional Board) approved the UCSC SWMP. The Regional Board approval letter can be viewed here. On June 3, 2009 a final SWMP responding to comments in the approval letter was submitted to the Regional Board. On June 22, 2009 three Best Management Practices were revised: BMP #55.7, BMP #55.11 and BMP #101. Appendix A pages 79/80, 81/81.1, 81.2/82, and 137/138 have been updated accordingly. The UCSC SWMP is now being implemented on the main campus as well as at the Marine Science Campus and the Monterey Bay Education, Science and Technology Center. Links to the UCSC SWMP and it's appendices are provided below. For those interested in perusing a list of Plan Best Management Practices (BMPs), Appendix A would be the best place to start.
Document Dates for Current SWMPThe document dates for each section of the SWMP are shown in the header of each document and listed below. The date listed may be different than June 2009, as it indicates the last time that section was updated.
